Cladding of Al-alloys with Ni-based alloys

Cladding of Al-alloys with Ni-based alloys

(OP)
Hi everybody;
has anyone experienced cladding of Al-alloys sheets with Ni-based alloys (Inconel)?
In case it was possible, which cladding method would be better?
I guess it should be done by roll cladding.

RE: Cladding of Al-alloys with Ni-based alloys

Explosion welding of aluminum/stainless is reported, so probably also aluminum/nickel-base would be feasible.
Roll welding of aluminum to stainless is reported difficult but possible, same as aluminum to nickel.

You may want to check wit JSW.

If the bottom of Aluminium is plated prior to roll bonding the problems nay be reduced.

There is a lot of stainless/AL bond experience from the cookware industry.
