(OP)
We have a  retort oven to extract mercury from phospor powder. The trays in the oven are stainless steel as we found mild steel would corrode in a matter of weeks. I believe that with inheirent moisture in our feed stock combines with the phospor to produce small quanities of phosporic acid. Thus the mild steel corrosion.
We have constructed mild steel oven racks and I am looking for a type of plating that might resist corrosion.
Oven temp is 425 deg C duration cycle is 4-5 hrs.
