SLO-SYN Driving Motor
SLO-SYN Driving Motor
(OP)
I was wondering if anyone can help me here. I am hobbyist that has a Superior Electric, SLO-SYN Driving Motor, 120V, 0.1A, 60cy., 70 RPM, three wires (white: Neutral, Red: CW, and Black: CCW) I apparently need a phase shift network consisting of a capacitor and a resistor. I get the idea of what it is doing but don't have the practical knowledge of what size capacitor or what size resistor I need to make this motor start spinning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It could be they are the type with the internal network/cap? But I didn't think so.
What I'm saying is your's may work at reduced torque with no network. Or maybe not.

Thanks again
