Cranked stud

Cranked stud

(OP)
I am trying to model stud for a model steam engine valve gear.
The diameter of the stud is 3/32" and threaded each end. This stud has a straight portion, is then bent at an angle of approximately 30 degrees for a distance and is then bent back parallel to the original length. The two bends are in the same plane.
How do I go about modelling this please?

RE: Cranked stud

try using the sweep command for the body of the stud

draw the trajectory then the profile

then add threads with helical sweep or as cosmetic thread
