Point Mass?

Point Mass?

Point Mass?

(OP)
I'm currently trying to run a Freq. Analysis on a model of part of a oil platform structure.Due to the sizes envolved(a lot of I-beams), I have had to simplify my model dramatically!. As an outcome, I am trying to simulate the mass loads of decks above the primary deck of analysis(where the problem is). I want to apply these loads in Kg's not N's, as these have no effect on the analysis. Is this possible?

My P.C is a good spec. but just can handle the larger model due to Memory Issues! Lets see if it can handle a sledge hammer!!!!!

RE: Point Mass?

Do you have Cosmos/M?

We have recently purchased COSMOSM, not really had time to get into it yet. Can a point mass be applied to a Exported model from SW/CW in COSMOSM(Geostar)?
