HRG and Common Mode noise

HRG and Common Mode noise

(OP)
I am working on the specifications for a 4160V to 480 transformer to feed a 600HP 18 pulse AC variable frequency drive.

The drive manufacturer recommends the use of a 480Y/277 transformer with an HRG. But then the manufacturer also says it is not their problem if any common mode noise is caused by the use of a non-solidly grounded system and they will not help to alleviate.

My preference was to go with an HRG, a regular 6 pulse drive, and an automatic harmonic filter.

Does any one have any experience with how an HRG interacts with harmonics and "noise" from an AC drive?
