CMAA 74 stresses

(OP)
In calculating stresses from underhung monorail on various beams, I keep getting killed by the localized stresses (in the Y1 direction) due to local bending effects.  Even before I add this stress to the plane bending and warping normal (from torsion) stresses, I'm having to tell clients their monorail is no good.  Once you add it all up (per CMAA 74 3.3.2.4.2), I'm getting allowable loads that are half of what you would get back in the day.

Is this what everyone is finding?
