Solar Absorptivity Inquiry

Solar Absorptivity Inquiry

Solar Absorptivity Inquiry

(OP)
Does anyone know the solar absorptivity of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tank constructed with vinyl ester resin?  I am trying to calculate the amount of heat gain and subsequent temperature rise of the material in the FRP tank during summer.  The material is Sodium Hypochlorite, which tends to thermally degrade over time.  Sincerely appreciate your feedback.

RE: Solar Absorptivity Inquiry

My advise would be: never expose a tank with heat sensitive materials to a direct sunlight and that is probably what a sodium hypochlorite manufacturer will tell you very likely too.
