i'm recently graduated engineer and i want to know what the difference between the following in using  ?
the switchgear and the circuitbreaker
miniture c.b and moulded case c.b
sectionlizer and bus coupler
sf6 and vacuum c.b

and thanks

RE: what is the difference ?

The differences are a lot and explaining would take time. So i would suggest u buy STANDARD HANDBOOK FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS
Google this ISBN 0070220050

RE: what is the difference ?

A lot of Power Plants offer visitor tours during normal business hours.  It might make sense to join such a tour to supplement "book" learning.

RE: what is the difference ?

Learn how to be self-sufficient finding technical information will help to boost your career and enjoy the benefit for the rest of your life.

Good technical sources could be find, for instance, in the ANSI/IEEE Standard 100, ANSI C37.50&51, UL489 & 1066, NEMA AB-1&  SG3, NEC,  etc.  There are technical articles in magazines, white papers, manufacturer catalogs and web sites in general.

thankfull for all replies and specially for cuky2000

RE: what is the difference ?

that is all true, cuky2000.

ahmadnece, listen very carefully to what cuky2000 said.
i'm an electrical power engineer, graduated 3 years ago, and i can admit it that i've learned nothing at my collage here in egypt, except from my frequent surf via technical data & information avialable on the internet.

i learned an important engineering rule for myself, never ask before searching.
try it,....the internet contains such tremendous valuable technical information, via search engines.

man, just surf and find out, trust me.

RE: what is the difference ?

An hour spent browsing the websites of one of the big electrical manufacturers such as Siemens, Groupe Schneider, or ABB will answer all of your questions and many others that you hadn't thought of asking. All three of the manufacturers mentioned produce all the equipment you are enquiring about.

The Siemens website is heavy going to find what you are looking for, Schneider's is good for current products and a total waste of time for legacy stuff, and ABB's is pretty good all round.
