Family Table/Dwg Question

Family Table/Dwg Question

Family Table/Dwg Question

(OP)
Hi,
I have a family table instance that I want to make a drawing of.  I have assigned all of the model parameters over to the new instance.  Our title block populates automatically with information from model parameters.  When I start a new drawing of the instance, the title block picks up the parameters from the parent part only.  How do I get the parameter info. from the family member instead?

Release 2001

Thanks in advance.

JW (TTX)

RE: Family Table/Dwg Question

Are you making a "new" drawing or making a copy from the generic model drawing? If the drawing is new, and you selected the instance as the drawing model, then the instance params should show up only. Check also to see what models are attached to the drawing file.

Thanks Steve,
Don't know what happened there...
I reopened the drawing just now - and it is up to date - with the correct information.
Didn't regen properly the first time or something...
Nice to know that it is that simple - no work around required.

Cheers,

JW
