configurations question

configurations question

configurations question

(OP)
How can I have configurations for a part, where more that just the dimensions change? We're designing an electronic part, and I have several cables drawn, I'm trying to make two configurations for each cable, one in its normal state, and one exploded, to make the drawings more clear, I would like the cable to be broken into several separate bodies, this requires each configuration to have completely different sweeps and other features. However, solid works only seems to let you have different dimensions and properties for each configuration. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: configurations question

You can also suppress features.  Make your other configuration with different features the way you want.  Suppress the ones you do not want.  The other configuration is the opposite.

Well I guess that was bleeding obvious, thanks for the tip.
