Cam and Valvetrain Design

(OP)
In a previous thread (Crank/valve train model thread71-145013 ) we stumbled across 4 articles which can be downloaded from the following site:

www.profblairandassociates.com

These articles are in pdf format and are the complete articles which the authors had published in the magazine, "Race Engine Technology". The subject matter starts with the design and manufacture of cam profiles for any type of follower system and finishes with the final dynamic analysis of the valvetrain system. All of the design issues associated with this topic seem to be covered very well. The emphasis is on performance, but the design processes, techniques and tips would equally apply to any cam/valvetrain system.

As one who has been involved in this type of design problem in the past, I found the articles very interesting and thought that some others might also. Your feedback would be interesting!
