Valve Handle Extension

Valve Handle Extension

Valve Handle Extension

(OP)
I'm looking for vendors / suppliers for extending valve handles.  I'm looking for extensions that can be offset.  I believe I've seen adds with universal joints, and / or flexible shafts.

The only suppliers I've been able to find is Roto Hammer.

Does anyone have some other options / names?

RE: Valve Handle Extension

randers,

Have you talked to your local valve vendor? Most have handle extensions options for their valves.

Have you tried googling for suppliers in your area?

Maybe try online sites like

RE: Valve Handle Extension

Randers,

For globe and gate valves, our maintenance dept. makes handle extensions by bending 1/2"dia. steel rod. A pseudo universal joint is made by looping 2 pieces together then bend one end into a triangle for the handle. For quarter turn valves, we use a tee handle made from 1 1/2"dia. pipe. Depending on your application needs, you could also use a chainwheel. For these, see www.babbittsteam.com/.
