Hardness/rigidity - Noise attenuation?

Hardness/rigidity - Noise attenuation?

(OP)
How to evaluate the hardness & righdity of plastic material(may be Polypropylene)for air intake attenuation?

I have some numbers in front of me for intake noise attenuation analysis like

Intake duct 2 -7

Side branch without water hole 2-5

Side branch with water hole 5-10

air cleaner 30 - 50

I am assuming above numbers are material parameters or standard number for chamer, Side Branch, air cleaner(?) related but if anyone have more info, let me know

(I can understand the noise in terms of transmitted wave due to pressure difference & if it will hit more stiffer material than as per Newton's third law it will transmit back till it looses energy)
