High temp data for SA 387 Gr.22 Cl.2

High temp data for SA 387 Gr.22 Cl.2

High temp data for SA 387 Gr.22 Cl.2

(OP)
Hi everybody,
I need tensile properties (yield point 0.2% and ultimate tensile strength) data for ASME SA 387 Gr.22 Cl.2 (21/4Cr, 1Mo) steel.
In particular I need experimental data (not ASME II-D design data) for temperatures within 840-1110°F (450-600°C).

Thanks

RE: High temp data for SA 387 Gr.22 Cl.2

bagnamento;
I found some information that might be of help to you. The elevated temperature mechanical property data is for 2.25% Cr - 1%Mo alloy steel from the following publication "Report on The Elevated Temperature Properties of Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steels" compiled by ASTM-ASME Joint Committee on the Effect of Temperature on the Properties of Metals, Tech Pub 151.

The data below pertains to bar. Despite the different product grade, it will at least give you a ballpark estimate on properties - deg F, Ksi

Temp           YS (0.2%)        UTS
900 F           38.25          63.75
1000 F          35.75          49.75
1100 F          34.25          39.10
