Contacting forum members off the forum or directly?

(OP)
I am trying to cooridnate efforts to meet with people on the list who will be at the 2006 conference.  Is there a way to get messages directly to those people.  I know that leaving email addresses in the message is frowned upon.  Is there an option somewhere here to be able to contact individuals directly?  The "at" symbol in the email address may be what spammers are looking for so if we spell out the "at" symbol is that acceptable?

Why do they put Braille dots on the keypad of the drive-up ATM?

RE: Contacting forum members off the forum or directly?

Maybe start a temp email thru Yahoo, figure out out to meet and where, then after the show delete the email address.

RE: Contacting forum members off the forum or directly?

The most dicrete way would be to use somebodies web site (with its own forum area) as a go-between.

Uploading a file containing the address to a fileserver is another way. However even that is frowned upon, (been there done that) as site management believes that anonymity of members is best.
