Pro/INTRALINK question

Pro/INTRALINK question

Pro/INTRALINK question

(OP)
Whenever I add an existing part to a new assembly, the part status (in workspace) changes to "modifed".  Why does this happen??? I'm not actually modifying the part.  This also occurs when I modify text or something in a drawing.  Has anyone experienced this?  Is there some setting that needs to be changed or checked during Intralink set-up?

Thanks for your help.

RE: Pro/INTRALINK question

Hi David,

From my understanding, you have modified the part, you have modified where this part is used.

thanks, that makes sense.

RE: Pro/INTRALINK question

This has happened to me many times.  If you're sure you've not modified the part you can just update the part from common space and then check in the assy or dwg.  You can test this by opening the assy or dwg to confirm that nothing has changed.
