What is the average design cost for reinforced concrete retaining walls in the southeast? How is it priced (i.e. per square foot of face area, per linear foot of wall)?

RE: Reinforced concrete wall design

Impossible to answer without height, soil conditons, groundwater and many other loading and construction details.  A taller wall's price varies roughly by the square of the height compared to a shorter wall.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that there is no way to estimate the CONSTRUCTION cost for a wall without knowing all of the parameters you described. How do things like soil parameters affect the DESIGN fee for the wall? Does a wall backfilled with 28 degree material cost more to design than a wall backfilled with 34 degree material?

RE: Reinforced concrete wall design

Installation cost is usually in $/cubic yd of concrete or if more is known about the wall $/foot of wall.
