Testing Deaeration Columns (testing for leaks)

Testing Deaeration Columns (testing for leaks)

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

intro:

A 50% deaeration column is to be tested for leaks, the procedure intended to be followed is the following:
- Fill the vessel with water to their normal operating level after that apply a N2/He leak test, once this passed a full vacuum test will be carried out.

The reason for N2/He leak test is that it is easier to identify any leaks under this test than it is under the vacuum test.

Question:

- Does anyone have knowledge of a proven best practice/alternative to carryout this operation

thanks
