ACCEPTABLE VIBRATION LIMITS IN BOILERS

ACCEPTABLE VIBRATION LIMITS IN BOILERS

ACCEPTABLE VIBRATION LIMITS IN BOILERS

(OP)
What are the acceptable limits / standards for vibration caused by the combustion process, or any structural resonance in fired heaters / boilers.

Thanks

RE: ACCEPTABLE VIBRATION LIMITS IN BOILERS

As far as I can tell there are no actual limits on pressure vessels for vibration.  The problem is that you can induce a fatigue type failure but you can predict how that would affect your equipment by using a standard S-N curve where N would be the number of vibrations.

On the other hand follow this thread to see a previous discussion about piping vibration.
