Migration from V18 to NX4 (Gulp!!!!)
Migration from V18 to NX4 (Gulp!!!!)
(OP)
Hi, All
At the moment my employer is about to migrate from V18 to NX4 and i have a question that i would appreciate being answered. While most of our office is using 3D there are a few that work on machines that have yet to be updated to 3D assemblies and therfore spend most of there time using the 2D system for drawing and drafting.
Now this leads to my question, i'm aware of the majority of the changes from the two version on the 3D side but how much has change from V18 2D to NX4 2D? Are these guys going to see a major difference or is the change quite subtle.
Many thanks in advance.

Now I am the only UG user at this company. Their best practices manual was based on SolidWorks, so I have the freedom to create my own, and it is an on-going process based on the experiences I have had with previous employers. With the growth of the company, training is taking on more importance, and I will be taking advantage of that.

NX4 is available for download from UGS.
The early results are not favorable from what I can see.

As Noyce pointed out, this is the first (full) release.
The download is ALWAYS available weeks to months before the disks show-up.
