Corona Lamps for Ozone production

Corona Lamps for Ozone production

Corona Lamps for Ozone production

(OP)
Greetings,

   Does anyone knows where can i find a distributor of corona lamps for ozone generators? This kind of lamps are capable of releasing 5000 to 15000V, so the oxygen converts to ozone. I need to built a small generator to insert in a major project and i´m stuck in the ozone generator. Can anyone help me?

RE: Corona Lamps for Ozone production

Do a web search for ozone generators.  A late-friend of mine used to make the corona lamps when his distributor in Israel quit making them.

My suggestion to you is to not reinvent the wheel.  There are lots of commercial ozone generators on the market.  Any reason you can't just buy one?

RE: Corona Lamps for Ozone production

Sorry, but just buying a lamp is generally not sufficient- espacially for a major project.

High pressure liquid systems generally have the lamp encased in a silicon glass tube, which, or a number of which, are placed in a polished SS (high internal reflectivity) vessel.

Low pressure systems pass the fluid or place tube in a clear teflon tube.

Sealing at the ends is obviously an issue.

Give the supplier info on teh fluid to be irradiated particular turbidity (NTU) and color and trace metals.  Many trace metals will act as catalysts.  Free dissolved O2 in teh stream will assist in providing additional free radical sources to aid the resultant oxidation process.

For small units try-

For larger units try;
http://www.uvta.com.au   (Sorry Australian reference, but I've bought stuff from them before)

For general use info try;
