While welding a 316L SS pipe to a cold rolled carbon steel (A GRADE Ship structure steel),which would be the right electrode 309 or 308 ? I know both could be used but i would like to know further technical reasons from Metallurgy engineers

try kobelco 5018 or ferrocraft 7018
