Can it be done? What are the requirements & any suggestions on hardware, model, ect...

My boss is asking me to get him set up with one & I have no clue on what to get.

RE: Running NX2 on a laptop.

Yes it can be done - the UG support guys round here have them by the bucket full.  Suggest a Dell M70 with the appropriate graphics card and 1GB RAM.  The M60 is a popular model but no longer listed on Dells' website.

Thanks Scott7

RE: Running NX2 on a laptop.

If you have money ($3600), go SAGER or like. They have QuadroPro card option and can get beyond 2G RAM.

Dell is not so great. I'd take the HP business models for protable workstation over the Dells.
