Hi,

I'm looking for compression allowables for the Al-Bronze material BS-B23.

Thanks,
Stein Janssens
M&P engineer

RE: BS-B23

steinjanssens...

Do You mean???

BRITISH STANDARD BS B 23:1991
Specification for
Copper-aluminium nickel-iron alloy rods, sections, forging stock and forgings

If so, spec is available thru IHS [Information Handling Systems]. NOTE: proprietary markings on IHS forbid copying and sending it to You... and there too many different data tables to extract.

Regards, Wil Taylor

Thanks Wil,

I got plenty of specs but never compression ultimate values on it.  Probably because the compression ultimate failure criteria is arbitrary and differs sometimes.  Anyway, there must be somewhere compression ultimate allowables/values on this planet..

Thanks for your reaction,
Stein
