Delete duplicates

(OP)
I am trying not to bash my head with a wrench, but I am really having a hard time with simple operations in NX3.
Is there a command that will enable me to delete duplicate entities? I imported a wire frame and there are duplicate curves (sometimes more than 3) and selecting them for surfacing is a real headache.
Also, are there ways that I can select a chain based on color, or plane?
Thanks in advance for your help everyone!

RE: Delete duplicates

Ronin,

I would suggest doing a few things:

1.  Keep ALL similar questions in a single thread on this board.  It makes it easier for people to follow along with answers you've gotten from other users as well as any additional questions you may have.  So far, you have created 3 different threads with the same question about chaining curves in NX.  Most people are aware that questions need to be answered ASAP, but duplicating threads does nothing but add confusion and take up space.

2.  If you have a documentation CD, then install it.  The answers to your questions about chaining (a basic function in NX) is covered in the documentation quite well...just do a search on Selection or any other relative terms.  Just for your peace of mind, there is a way to select items by color...use the Selection toolbar & press the icon that looks like an artist's palette & pick the color you wish to filter for.  Should that not be a simple explanation, then I highly recommend either some basic training classes or use of CAST.

3.  If you have duplicate curves, there is no standard yet simple method for selecting or deleting them without using a custom program.  I would suggest focusing on small areas, where you're currently trying to create a surface & delete each curve one at a time or selecting all the curves, then DESELECT the curves you wish to keep.

I hope my reply doesn't sound overly critical, as that is not my intent.  I'm only trying to offer you what I feel are the easiest ways for you to learn & retain what you learn about NX.  So, please do not take any of the above in a negative manner.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks for the response!
on't worry, I don't find your answer overly critical at all. The truth is that although I am not computer illiterate, this is my first time using a forum in any way. I appreciate your tip, as I can see how much more organized this way of doing thigs is.
Thanks again.
