Line size on screen

Line size on screen

Line size on screen

(OP)
Hi to all,

anyone knows if it is possible to set the tickness of lines on screen? I mean, I need to set "thin, normal, thick, thick(2) etc.." to have the same thickness on the screen, in particular I would like to see them all as "thin" (then i will set the line weights to plot them as I need).

It's a quite strange request, but you know, curiosity...

Txs to everybody

RE: Line size on screen

That's a DOCUMENT PROPERTY... Open a drawing. You don't find that option in part & assembly files. Click TOOLS - OPTIONS - DOCUMENT PROPERTIES - LINE FONT.

Txs,

but it is not what I need, I try to explain better the problem

If I set, for example, thin for "visible edge" and normal for "Hidden edge" I would like to see them both as thin (on the screen). But then I can plot them with two different thickness, beacause they have two different names (that I can set in "line Wehigt".
I think that there must be a file that associates the name (thin, normal, etc...) to the thickness on screen, but I can't find it, and above all...I'm not sure that I can modify it

RE: Line size on screen

I think with SolidWorks... WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). You can look at the LINE WEIGHTS option on the PLOT dialog box... But I don't think that's what you're looking for either.
You just need to let go of your AutoCad paradigms... (It'll be OK)... tongue
