Trouble with images in Autocad

Trouble with images in Autocad

Trouble with images in Autocad

(OP)
When I insert a jpeg image into autocad and email it to our printers, all that shows up is a file path where the logo should go. After looking in my manual I can't find what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be great.

RE: Trouble with images in Autocad

If you're emailing the .dwg to the printer you'll have to email the jpeg file also. Acad must be able to find the image file

RE: Trouble with images in Autocad

And, be careful how you allow AutoCAD to store the path information - absolute, relative, etc.  Try it at home first...

Thanks for the advice. Just to clarify; printer as in People who print. A remote location, a business that prints.
Thanks again

RE: Trouble with images in Autocad

Does your printer have the capability to plot .plt files or .pdf?  This would hopefully eliminate the issue of the missing jpeg since you would be sending a "snap shot" of the drawing and not the elements of the drawing.

RE: Trouble with images in Autocad

Like it says above. Can you create a plt file and send it to the printer. The plt file is "ripped" and needs no further processing per se. If the people you send it do not have AutoCAD, you need to give it to them so they will not have to process it themselves. Work with them so that your local drivers print to a format they can handle.
