(OP)
I am assisting in the commissioning of a small forced draft 150 psi 3000 lb/hr package boiler at a steam engine museum. We do not have a write up on the boiler combustion control system - my main worry is the initial purge time and purge after failed ignition. Can any one point me in right direction please. .

RE: start up sequence natural gas fired boiler

I'd try a few boiler manufacturers;  Babcox & Wilcox,  Combustion Engineering (if my memory's any good),  I'm not sure how variable the tables will be, but you can always "double or triple" a typical set of parameters.

I'll try to remember to ask a collegue tomorrow;  he'll probably remember typical purge tables from memory!

RE: start up sequence natural gas fired boiler

Get a copy of ASME Safety Standard CSD-1 and NFPA 85 series. All your concerns will be answered.
