RE: shapes of superalloys in aircrafts

Some of the areas in which nickel-based superalloys are used include the following:

1. Fasteners (forged from wire)
2. Turbine blades (single crystal investment castings)
3. Compressor discs & shafts (hot forged from bar or billet)
4. Casings, rings, & seals (multiple production methods)
