Polyline: Do you want to make it one? (Y)

what is the command you use to bypass this question when using the PE command?

thanks.

RE: Polyline: Do you want to make it one? (Y)

You can't "bypass" it.  It means you have selected a line or arc, which doesn't have all the properties of a pline. If you select a pline, you don't get the question.

In order edit a polyline (which is what Pedit does), you must have a pline to begin with.

Remember: The Chinese ideogram for “crisis” is comprised of the characters for “danger” and “opportunity.”

yeah i know that, but there is a command that bypasses the question and makes it a polyline automatically. i learned it at my last job but now i dont remember what it was...... :(

RE: Polyline: Do you want to make it one? (Y)

Set the system variable "Peditaccept" to 1 and it will no longer ask. 2005 and up I think.

that's it. too bad im on 2000! DOH!

RE: Polyline: Do you want to make it one? (Y)

You could write a short lisp that would check it the object selected is a line or arc and if it is run the pedit command and anwser yes to the prompt, it it a polyline already, just run the pedit command, and if it's anything else return a error to the command line and reprompt to pick something else.

i have no idea on how to even get close to doing that. :(
