BAD MEM POINTER
BAD MEM POINTER
(OP)
Happy New Year,
This is just one of those things that do not seem to interfere with the work, but it is still anoying.
Lately I've been getting the error message BAD_MEM_POINTER, I found a previous post where SP2 is suspected as the problem.
Could this be a bad memory stick? Did anyone try going back to SP1?

RE: BAD MEM POINTER
The solution is to do the following:
1. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
2. Open Regional and Language Options
3. Click the Languages tab at the top of the dialog
4. At the bottom of the Languages tab dialog, there should be 2 check boxes. Make sure both are unchecked.
5. OK out of all dialogs & restart your computer.
That should take care of the error when exiting I-deas, if that's what you were having problems with.
