Section Views and Section Lines

Section Views and Section Lines

Section Views and Section Lines

(OP)
If i need a section view and it is 45 degrees from my principal view do i need to keep the alignment, or is it acceptable to break the alignment and rotate the view? Regardless if it is on the same sheet or not. Curious to see what is acceptable or not. Thanks

RE: Section Views and Section Lines

It is acceptable provided the rotation and direction is noted in the section label ("ROTATED 45 DEG CCW" for example).

RE: Section Views and Section Lines

ctopher,
I dread the day that we DON'T agree!

RE: Section Views and Section Lines

Agreed. As long as the deviation is noted under the section title, as ewh said.
