How to set up drawings attributes in NX3?

How to set up drawings attributes in NX3?

How to set up drawings attributes in NX3?

(OP)
I will like to set up attributes in my model that would automatically populate the drawing title-block for things like drawn by, date, etc.  We do not use the master model concept, so the model and the drawings are on the same file. We are currently using NX3.

RE: How to set up drawings attributes in NX3?

First you have to create the attributes.  Under the file menu, go to Properties.  Select the Attributes tab.  This is where you can create attributes.

Once the attributes are created you can populate text using the attributes.  This is done in the annotation editor.

You didn't mention if you are using Teamcenter or native UG.  If you are using Teamcenter, the Teamcenter attributes can be synced with UG.

You also might want to use a seed file, that already has the attributes mapped, to create additional files.

Thank you for your reply.  We do not use Teamcenter.  One more question.  Does NX provides predefined attributes like page number, drawing scale, date, etc…

Unless they have added them recently, No.
