Hydrate prevention with methanol at high pressure

Hydrate prevention with methanol at high pressure

(OP)
All,

When trying to prevent hydrates from forming by injecting methanol some part of the methanol is lost in the vapour phase. With the Campbell books these losses can be predicted up to about 70 barg. However with the new pipeline pressures going up to 300 - 350 barg these losses increase significantly.
When simulating these required injection rates with Hysys these rates predicted can be 10 times as high as Campbell.
Anybody has any reference to experimental data on this subject ? Or a clue on what is reliable.

Thanks a lot,

Dimitri.
