I am in the process of machining bushings for heavy machinery.  If the final dimensions of the bushing are: OD 3.55", ID 2.5" and 1.9" long, how much of a dimension change can I expect after hardening.  The material being used is alloy steel, 8620.      Thanks

RE: dimensions changing after hardening

Are you intending to carburize these parts or simply quench and temper?

RE: dimensions changing after hardening

(OP)
Just quench and temper.
