How does one calculate the head loss through a manhole that does not have channeled and or deflected flow ... i.e. a sedimentation manhole and drywell system overflowing into a pond ... typical calculations can deal with the entrance, exit, bend, and junction losses in channeled / deflected manholes but I do not know how to model the losses in overflow manholes (i.e. the sedimentation and drywell manholes) ... the soils in the area has a design perc rate of 2.5 inches per hour so the drywell system will only handle the .5" 24 hour storm ... the larger storms will overflow into a pond system ... I need to do a backwater analysis on the system to make sure the pond will actually fill up and not back up into the parking lot until the 100 year storm ... is there a textbook out there that might go over this subject?  Thank you in advance ...
