Assembly patterns (moving them in feature tree)

Assembly patterns (moving them in feature tree)

Assembly patterns (moving them in feature tree)

(OP)
I made a pattern and then several more (about 30).  Some things have changed. Now I want pattern (B) which is "last" now to be before pattern (A) so that I can put pattern (B) into pattern (A).  Hopefully that made sense.

My problem is I can not drag pattern (B) before pattern (A).  It gives me the "cannot drag and drop symbol".  I rolled back so that pattern (B) was not linked to anything after pattern (A). But that did nothing it still puts it at the bottom of the feature tree and I cannot drag it above pattern 25.

Am I S.O.L.?  Do I have to remake my patterns?

Thanks

RE: Assembly patterns (moving them in feature tree)

The fact that you can drag it, but not before "pattern 25" indicates that some part of the feature being patterned, is a child of the seed feature used in "pattern 25".

You need to investigate the feature & its sketch geometry to find out what that relationship is, and remove it.

Sorry I may have not been clear I'm refering to component patterns in an assy.  I rolled back so that pattern "B" wouldn't be a child of anything.  But it seems to me that SW doesn't care when you make a component pattern it stuffs it at the end regardless if one rolls back.

Report it to your VAR, this has been going on since 2004 and apparently no one is reporting it enough to get it fixed.

Reported it my VAR. This is what he had to say.

"I believe this is more of a bug than an enhancement request.  I will find out if this is a known issue or a new problem."

Hopefully SW's fixes it cause I find it to be very annoying.

Well, that's positive that they right away said it was a bug.
