does anyone know alloy 6025 and its properties vs. high temp corrosion on nitridation.

RE: alloy 6025

I believe this is N06025.

"RA 602 CA®7 (N06025) Extremely oxidation-resistant grade; one of strongest available at extreme temperature. Used
through 2250°F. Applications include CVD retorts, vacuum furnace fixturing, rotary calciners"

7 Registered trade name of ThyssenKrupp VDM

RA 602 CA® N06025 EN/W.Nr 2.4633
Composition: 25Cr 63Ni 0.2C 2Al 0.1Y 0.08Zr 9.5Fe

Re impact of nitriding on high T oxidation. [Warning, my opinion]:
If nitrided by a high T process that formed CrN, oxidation resistance would suffer.  If nitrided < 400 C, the effect would be less, but of course nitrides would form anyway when heated to high T.
I could be wrong (if the Al ties up all the N or if Cr oxynitride forms), but the effect would be 1) lower alloy Cr concentration, and 2) nitride particles might interfere with formation of a continuous, protective Cr2O3 film.

Google N06025 for more info.
