does anyone know alloy 6025 and its properties vs. high temp corrosion on nitridation.

Re impact of nitriding on high T oxidation. [Warning, my opinion]:
If nitrided by a high T process that formed CrN, oxidation resistance would suffer. If nitrided < 400 C, the effect would be less, but of course nitrides would form anyway when heated to high T.
I could be wrong (if the Al ties up all the N or if Cr oxynitride forms), but the effect would be 1) lower alloy Cr concentration, and 2) nitride particles might interfere with formation of a continuous, protective Cr2O3 film.
Google N06025 for more info.
