Thermal Conductivity of #2 Fuel Oil

Thermal Conductivity of #2 Fuel Oil

We're working on a steam to #2 fuel oil heat exchanger application, and are having problems coming up with all of the required data. There's plenty of info for pumping and piping calcs, but not much for heating this oil.

Does anyone know the thermal conductivity of #2 oil?

RE: Thermal Conductivity of #2 Fuel Oil

TBP:

I found this on the following web site:

http://www.caloritech.com/catalog/page199.htm

They state the thermal conductivity of #2 fuel oil is:
0.96 [(Btu)(in.)] / [(hr.)(sq.ft.)(ºF)]

Good Luck!
