elevated floor slab

(OP)
I was reading an archived post. (thread507-124847) In it there was a formula from AASHTO that gives an effective width of slab to use for concentrated loads. The formula is as follows:  Width to use = 4 + 0.06S where S is the span of the slab. My question is the S in feet and the cooresponding width of slab in feet?

RE: elevated floor slab

yes, thank you.
