How to create Icons for Tool Pallette Tools (Blocks)

How to create Icons for Tool Pallette Tools (Blocks)

(OP)
I have a need to create Icons on a tool palette other than what is coming into the palette by default. Help...

The issue is this, I have several blocks that contain attributes and all are saved as a dwg file that I can insert as a block through the tool pallette menus I've built.

When I saved each dwg file I could see all the attribute text with it. because of this saving method the default Icon now appears as a rectangluar symbol with alot of text "just as I saved it".

I want to have an icon for each block in the tool pallette that would show what the rectangular symbol is going to look like once the attribute data is filled in after inserting the block

If anyone knows how to substitute this Icon in the tool pallette or maybe If I should be saving the DWG file diufferently can you please let me know..

Thanks

DC

I've never tried it but you might be able to edit the icon (which is a .png file found in the Images directory of the directory where your tool palettes are stored) with Paint or similar program. Or draw what you want to see in acad, export to bmp and convert to a .png file.
