Urethane modulus of elasticity

Urethane modulus of elasticity

Urethane modulus of elasticity

(OP)
I need to estimate the load imposed by stretching an unreinforced urethane belt over its pulleys.  I know the Shore hardness of the urethane and the formulas relating stress, strain, elastic modulus, etc.  How do I convert Shore hardness to elastic modulus?

RE: Urethane modulus of elasticity

I dont think  you can. They are different properties.

RE: Urethane modulus of elasticity

Roughly speaking

Shore A   E (psi)

35 168
45 256
55 460
65 830
