Protel 'Room' Features

Protel 'Room' Features

(OP)
Currently, I've been working on PCB designs using protel DXP. My designs usually requires me to replicate a cell circuitry into many identical cells on a PCB using the 'copy and paste array' functions. Hence, it's easier for me to design the circuit on the PCB rather than generating the PCB design from the schematic board itself.

However, I always receive the 'unique identifier' errors upon generation of 'updates from pcb to schematic' or vice versa. As a result, I got to manually match the two files using 'component links', which is much of a hazzle.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how the 'room features' work? As I believe it'll be of great use in order to replicate that one cell to many identical ones by just 'updating the the schematic diagram drawn to PCB' and without generating any identifier error if possible.

How can I arrange the the components of that one cell in a room? Is there any way whereby I can array the multiple cells using the 'copy and paste array' function or by other means?

I will greatly appreciate your advice and help. Thank you
