Changing Section to Aligned Section

Changing Section to Aligned Section

Changing Section to Aligned Section

(OP)
Does anyone here know if it possible to change a full section view to an aligned section view without redrawing the whole drawing/view?

Thanks

RE: Changing Section to Aligned Section

Not that I know of. If you edit the section line in any way, the section view gets updated & 'redrawn' automatically.

What's the problem with simply creating a new aligned view?

CBL,

Thanks for the response.  My search here and in teh help led me to believe it wasn't possible and you confirmed it.  I was hoping that there was some undocumented method that someone here knew about.

I was hoping to to avoid creating a new aligned section because my existing section has a child projected view with many dimensions on it which would take some time to recreate.

RE: Changing Section to Aligned Section

If you "move" your existing section... most likely your "child" views would get scrapped anyway... right?

Best Practice: Get all your views, sections & details set-up before investing the time in dimensions & annotations.

That's a pearl right there...pipe
