How to change coordinate location in assembly drawing

How to change coordinate location in assembly drawing

How to change coordinate location in assembly drawing

(OP)
Dear All,

I have a rig drawn by using the assembly option in pro/engineer. This is then exported as an iges file to a grid generator. The trouble i am having is to change the origin of the coordinate system in the assembly drawing to a new location. I assembled four components and so the individual coordinates systems are being displayed. Is there any way i can create a single coordinate system for the entire assembly and also move it to a new location?

Counting on your assistance.

sincerely,

James

RE: How to change coordinate location in assembly drawing

Hello,

Using Wildfire 2, can't you just add a coordinate system, and use an existing one for its reference, then enter the co-ordinates for its position.

is this any help?

Hope this helps.

When you export IGES, choose your alternate coordinate system (that you created) instead of the default one.
