Process symbols for HMI

Process symbols for HMI

Where can I process symbols for SCADA and HMI screens?

RE: Process symbols for HMI

You can see the standard ISA S 5.1 : 1984 - which contains all the symbols you need.
Go to www.isa.org.

FrancisL, I just gave you a star for pointing out Reichard to me!

I'm pretty new at interface design and I have been making the most awful looking icons... This is like a gold mine of clip-art!

Now to convince the boss to dish out the cash for it. I'll wait till the new year, or else _that_ might be my bonus!

Have a safe and happy new year

I hope your manager buys in, and increases your bonus for you resourcefull-ness.
I have no connection with Reichard by the way. And as you say, it is a fine collection of clip-art - in fact much better that clip-art as it comes with animation possibilities, and it appears like the producer has some industrial understanding.
Have a good 2006 too, and thanks for the star!
Francis

RE: Process symbols for HMI

The current 3D graphics make the old ISA stuff kinda quaint.  Where the time and budget permit, I like the symbols for individual equipment items to resemble the machinery.  You can get 3D vertical pump symbols that look like those style pumps.  This can helpful to the operators.  The HMI software peddlers likely know of other sources besides Reichard.  However, that was a recommended time saver when I looked over Wonderware some time back.
