ACAD 2005 - sharing tool pallets?

ACAD 2005 - sharing tool pallets?

ACAD 2005 - sharing tool pallets?

(OP)
We have started using AutoCAD 2005, but are having trouble with one of the time-saving tools that we like to use.  AutoCAD 2005 uses "tool pallets", where we can store commonly used blocks and easily insert them into drawings.  When a new block is drawn, it can be saved to the pallets.  It's a great tool, but we CAN NOT find a way to share these between users.  Basically, every designer is having to create his/her own tool pallets from scratch, even though we use the same blocks and shapes.

Is there a way to share these pallets between users?

RE: ACAD 2005 - sharing tool pallets?

You can export the pallets (Customize > Tool Palletes; right click on the pallet > Export.) But I think if you have blocks the images don't follow. You'll have to find the .png files and copy them to the new computer. Or use a common folder for the pallets when creating the pallet(Options > Files > Tool Pallets Files Locations)

The blocks that I am referring to actual AutoCAD entities, not images.  We had not run across the Customize > Tool Pallets > Export feature.  That worked perfectly, and took all of our blocks with it.  Thanks!!
