Initial stress in inclined multi-formations

Initial stress in inclined multi-formations

(OP)
Hi.
Someone should have experience to calculate initial stress in geophysical model.
I am trying to calculate initial stress distribution in multi-formation geophysical model.
The model consists in inclined several formations (or layers). Each formation has different material properties such as unit weight, elastic modulus, permeability and so on.
The boundaries of these formations are quite clear but inclined smoothly. In this situation, it may not be difficult to use

*INITIAL CONDITIONS, TYPE=STRESS, GEOSTATICS

to get correct initial stresses.
If I could use the initial condition, I have never got correct displacement at initial stress calculation step (1st step) though displacement should be almost zero at this step in whole region of the model.
Would you please give me good advice?
