Opening Drawings - Searches as you type??

Opening Drawings - Searches as you type??

HELP!!!

In AutoCAD 2000 when you wanted to open a drawing you could start to type in the name of a drawing and a drop down list would appear and get smaller as it narrowed down the search selection - quite useful if you have quite a few hundred drawings in one directory. (similar to windows autofill)

Since begining to use 2005 this feature doesn't seem to be available - does anyone know if this is an option that can be turned on and off - cause it is really frustrating having to scroll through 100's of drawings to find the one I want. BTW it does still work in AutoCAD 2000.

Did my question make any sense to anyone or is just not an answer for it?
